ITV has announced the launch of its new addressable advertising platform – Planet V. Unveiled on stage tonight at the company’s biggest commercial event of the year, the ITV Palooza at the Royal Festival Hall, by ITV’s Managing Director (Commercial) Kelly Williams and Deputy MD Simon Daglish, the fully programmatic, premium advanced advertising platform will launch at the beginning of 2020.

A new research report from Grabyo has found the global market penetration of OTT services has hit 38%, with growth accelerating across all consumer segments.

ITV today confirmed that a deal has been struck between Britbox and Viacom-owned Channel 5 and Comedy Central which will see hundreds of additional hours of both channels’ best British content available on Britbox from launch. The deal brings factual and entertainment content from Channel 5 plus original British comedies from Comedy Central UK.

Under the deal, box-sets from Channel 5 can appear on BritBox following a 30 day catch-up window on the My5 service.
