OTT Question Time Live 2027

Conversations with OTT Industry Leaders

20 Cavendish Square, London

About OTTQTL

OTT Question Time Live is the streaming industry’s most collaborative conference. Each January, leaders from across commercial, content, product, operations, strategy, technology and AI come together with 200+ delegates to share ideas, compare notes, and shape the future of on-demand and linear TV.

We bring together senior execs from major European broadcasters and streamers. Past speakers – many of whom take part regularly – include Amazon, the BBC, BBC Studios, BritBox International, Channel 4, DR (Denmark), Everyone TV, Google, Hearst Networks EMEA, ITV, ITV Studios, NBCUniversal, NRK (Norway), Paramount, ProSiebenSat.1, TF1, Tubi, Sky, Warner Bros Discovery, UKTV and many others.

What makes OTTQTL unique?

Plenty of events put streaming leaders on a stage. Few get them speaking candidly. OTT Question Time Live is built for the conversations that don’t happen anywhere else. It’s a forum stacked with senior speakers and attendees that are as open about their challenges as their successes, and where the format is built around analysis and debate.

01

We’re all about conversations rather than presentations. This means we can deep dive into our speakers’ news, goals, methodologies, and ultimately, how they get things done.

02

Our speakers regard our conference as a safe space where they can discuss their successes and challenges. We recognise that everyone in this industry is a pioneer, imagining and building the future almost from scratch.

03

Every perspective is in the room: global streamers and PSBs, tech and AI innovators, product leads, marketers, monetisers, windowing strategists and ops teams. Whoever you’re trying to reach, they’re here.

04

Our sponsors aren’t on the sidelines. They take part in the programme – on panels, in firesides, in talks, bringing deep, glass-to-glass expertise to a receptive audience. Sponsorship buys a voice, not just a logo.

05

Networking happens organically. Our speakers and audience mingle as one passionate crowd solving real-world problems. No rope lines or green rooms. Just access.

06

Our provisional theme for OTTQTL27 is Not a BAU Year – see below. As part of that we’ll cover evergreen topics like engagement, content, monetisation, product, AI and tech.

07

The point of OTT Question Time Live is simple: what can we learn from each other?

Our Audience

Every year, OTT Question Time Live is attended by senior leaders from Europe’s major broadcasters and streamers. They come because they know each other, and they know us – 21 years in streaming, including 15 running VOD Pro, has given us time to build the longstanding personal relationships that get people in the room.

Our audience isn’t compiled from a database. It’s people we’ve worked alongside, hired, been hired by, and stayed in touch with as their streaming careers have progressed.

50+ Buying Organisations

Our sponsors often remark on the density of broadcasters and streamers in the room – not just on stage but during networking breaks and lunch. Every OTTQTL since 2023 has been attended by at least 40 buying organisations and 50+ in the last two years. But more than that…

2.6 Senior Contacts per Organisation

Broadcasters and streamers typically attend our conferences in groups. On average, sponsors meet two or three senior people from the same company which offers more than one route into every account.

76% Senior Decision Makers

Three in four buyer attendees hold VP-level roles or above. This is a room of peers; senior people talking to senior people, with the authority to make things happen.

Format & Themes for OTTQTL27

A Trusted Format

OTT Question Time Live is known for giving speakers the time and space to thoroughly explore their specialist subjects.

Across 24 sessions in two days – 12 fireside chats and talks, 12 panels – we cover the industry’s hottest topics: content, monetisation, audience development and retention, technology, strategy, AI, and how they impact the full range of streamer, broadcaster and vendor operations.

Themes for 2027

Our conference themes are typically shaped by industry news and trends, our analysis projects for clients, and by what you – our speakers and sponsors – want to talk about. For 2027, we already have the following major themes in mind:

#1) This is not a BAU Year. The streaming industry has always moved fast. But long-forecast structural shifts are now landing all at once, and their effects in 2027 will be existential, not incremental.

#2) Re-engaging younger audiences who have not just almost abandoned linear and migrated to YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat, but are increasingly seeing Netflix, Disney and Prime as legacy brands too.

#3) Streaming vs Social. Tech dwarfs media. Meta’s Reels alone now generates over $50 billion in annual revenue, more than the entire US linear TV ad market. Google Cloud – YouTube’s parent division – grew 82% year-on-year last quarter. How does streaming respond? Do they expand, cooperate, or downsize?

#4) PSBs under pressure. Funding, content-making, new pay models, audience development: how public broadcasters adapt when every one of their old certainties is up for renegotiation.

#5) AI Front & Centre. We’ve been talking to broadcasters and streamers all year about their approaches to AI, the areas of greatest focus and the use cases they’re working on. AI adoption is now a live, urgent priority for every organisation in the streaming ecosystem.
