David Gibbs is a senior product leader driving the global growth of live sports streaming at Warner Bros. Discovery.

As SVP, Global Sports Product, he leads the evolution of how audiences experience live sport on streaming platforms, scaling premium sports products across international markets. In 2026, he played a key role in the launch of HBO Max in the UK, leading the successful integration of TNT Sports from discovery+, elevating the experience and positioning sport alongside some of the world’s most compelling entertainment content.
 
The year also delivered a slate of high‑profile global events, including the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics across Europe and the expansion of Roland Garros to HBO Max audiences in the US — both showcasing how streaming can transform choice, access, engagement, and scale for live sport.
 
Previously at Sky and Comcast, Gibbs helped build one of Europe’s largest digital sports networks and was instrumental in launching industry‑defining products such as Sky Go, Sky Glass, and Sky Stream. His work spans OTT, ad‑supported streaming, and global platform development, combining strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of local fan behaviours.
