VOD Professional is an independent intelligence and strategy practice for the streaming industry, founded in 2011 by Kauser Kanji.
We publish analysis, host events, produce The Riffs Show and have built the VOD Pro OTT-AI Readiness Framework – the first structured model for AI strategy in OTT and broadcast.
We’ve been working in this sector since 2005, with former executive roles at NBCU, Trinity Mirror, ITN and Virgin Media. Since 2023, we’ve convened OTTQTL – our annual conference for senior UK and European broadcasting execs. It’s built a reputation as the most candid gathering of its kind: a room where the people who run streaming services talk honestly about what’s working and what isn’t.
OTT-AI Readiness Framework
In 2026 we launched the OARF – a proprietary strategic model mapping 154 AI use cases across 12 enterprise functions, and 63 Capability Areas of a streaming business, scored across four dimensions and linked to the AI vendor landscape. It’s designed for leadership teams who need a structured answer to the question: “What’s our AI strategy?”
